WHEN: Week 5, post trial.
WHAT: Nanami said they'd talk about the vote for Maya later, so they are doing that.

[ After Phoenix's execution and everything else, they have to go back to their wings, of course. Nanami doesn't wait too long until she goes over to knock at Kuzuryuu's door to be let in. Their talk shouldn't take more than half an hour, but if it starts to push it, they can always step outside and then back in. Right? ]

[That or they can just go over to Nanami's room. But it really probably shouldn't take that long. After a few moments of silence, Kuzuryuu's door swings open. He stands back, letting her in so he can close the door behind her.]

[She'll notice that his room is more or less the same as it was when she room searched it a few weeks back. The porch door is still blocked, and everything is still more or less spotless. Though the sheets on his bed are a slightly rumpled, likely because he was just laying on them.]

I still stand by what I said, y'know. It was wrong to spare her like this.

...Because of the guilt? Or because he gave his life to it?

[ Nanami will just go and take a seat on his bed for the moment. ]

I don't agree that either was right, either, you know. But if you'd voted otherwise, it would have gotten too much negative attention on you. And now she's out of the running for immune and popular.

[ And it was what Phoenix had wanted. He'd played to lose, hadn't he? Nanami's not sure if that's her fault or not. ]

..."Saving Maya" was always going to get the majority vote, and you know that as well as I do.

Both. Mostly the guilt though. Even if she does get over it, it just...it doesn't sit right with me to even put her in that position at all.

[He sighs, taking a seat on his bed as well.]

This was different than Misaki. Fey didn't willingly do anything to hurt someone, and Misaki wasn't allowed to retire for her involvement. Just... I couldn't stay silent even if I knew I was gonna be overruled.

[His mouth is going to get him in trouble one day, it really is.]

That's because Kuzuryuu-kun is a good person. I also...don't think she should ever have blamed herself for that. To blame, in this case...

[ Her. The show. The Future Foundation. Those words die on her lips, and Nanami shakes her head, clasping her hands in her lap, tightly. ]

[ The eyes a fair amount of them might look at Mei with, now. The lone Phoenix vote... ]

...I don't want to see your execution. I don't want to see wake up one day and have to search out your body, and then your killer.

[ She's lost three of you already. Aoi, Norway, Phoenix... ]

I don't think any of us want to see each other die anymore than you do, so...no worries there. I'm gonna do whatever I can to make sure Yukimura gets away with it when it's her turn.

But y'know, none of us want to see you die either. And...now that everyone's gonna know there's a mastermind in play...

Y'think we should warn 'em beforehand? Peixes especially...people are already suspicious enough of her as it is. We don't need them thinking she's the mastermind too.

I said everyone was the most dangerous. I mentioned that Nagumo is more dangerous than he acts, but that that wasn't enough for me to name him the most dangerous when...all of us are really fucking dangerous when you get right down to it.

[ Even if they are murderfriends in a murderfamily. No one else can be as 100% sure of one another. Although if they'd chosen to backstab one another, it might be different.

[Which is saying something that he trusts them AT ALL, really. Since trusting is not something Kuzuryuu does easily.]

[ Even if he still hasn't understood the things she's said about herself. None of the DKs have. Even Phoenix, who asked specifically what she meant, and who she tried to spell it out for...

But it's true. Nanami trusts each of them not to stab her in the back. They have her implicit trust. ]

We're nearly there. Just a few more weeks. [ Like five of them or so... ]

[He's actually kind of starting to get scared here. Even trying their hardest...they hadn't been able to save Phoenix. As much as he says he's not going to die, part of him really...isn't so sure he can keep that promise.]

Then we can get the fuck out of here.

[ At the very least, Nanami wants these three people to make it out of this place.

[Kuzuryuu falls silent. Unless Nanami has anything else to add, apparently he's just going to let that silence stretch on. He's out of things to say already.]

[He'll of course remind her that she needs to get out of here before their thirty minutes are up though, if Nanami even lets it get to the point where they're in danger of that.]
