first game; VIDEO. action for new bark i guess but who is even in new bark right now?
[ It takes her no time at all to figure out how to work the gear. Nanami is good with electronics, especially the handheld sort that hold games on them (and she did look at the games that came preloaded first off, and then wasted some of her starter cash on one or two of the others...) so it was easy.
...Except that after she finished playing around with that, Nanami spent several days trying to play the game. As in "Pokémon". She eventually gives this up, but it admittedly takes a while. After turning on the video function, she pauses. Takes a moment to collect her thoughts. This is accomplished by staring off into space before refocusing. ]
...Hello. My name is Nanami Chiaki. I’m a Super High-school Level Gamer. ...I'm pretty good with all genres.
[ That's the unimportant stuff. Moving on to the stuff that actually matters: ]
...Although this is certainly "Pokémon", it's a sequel or something, right? New locations, new creatures...even so, there are so many differences compared to that game, aren't there? Almost too many...
[ She puffs out her cheeks, a silent pout, before continuing past her pause. ]
...I started out with a partner already, without having to visit the Professor. There was no point where I was supposed to choose my partner...or my gender, or name, although I don't mind that. ...While I like Munna, that's a little weird, isn't it? And even if the plot is different in this game, which is normal...
I haven't been able to trigger any quests so far, you know? Or tutorials. ...Maybe that ferry to Kanto would be the right choice, but couldn't that be a case of skipping ahead to the boss area without being properly leveled? That I haven't even had a rival encounter, isn't that worrying?
[ Nanami falls silent for a second before her main concern comes out, said more quietly than the rest, though she hadn't been speaking loudly to start with. ]
...It's not working properly.
[ That's...that's apparently all she wanted to bring up...? Trapped in the world of Pokémon, her main concern is apparently that the game is wrong. Where are the quests she knows she ought to be having, or the characters she ought to be meeting? Perhaps it's best to leave her to it...Ah, no, wait. It appears she has a bit more to say. ]
...If there's a new sequence to trigger the main quest, I'd like to know that, please. I'll keep trying to find it in the meantime. ...Ah, it's hard to trigger secret codes if you're in the game itself, isn't it...? At least, the normal codes are a no-go. I'll have to think of something else.
[ ...never mind, this is absolutely the time to leave her to her thoughts. Nanami ends the video after another pause, undoubtedly going off to try to "start" her game once again. ]

[ Although she's doing pretty okay here, so far. ]
So you played those games too, Shaun-kun? You're right...it'd be hard to trade if one couldn't do that from a distance, and there's no cord to connect our systems, because we don't have any systems...
no subject
Yeah, I played them when I was little with my brother, Jason. He had Red and I had Blue, so we traded and battled a lot.
But I also meant that you don't have to send me a pokemon back to do a trade! I can just send Cali to you right away.

[ Oh, Jason...maybe she shouldn't ask more about that topic, for the moment. ]
I...never played that sort of thing with siblings...but if Shaun-kun wants to do a two player game sometime, that's okay with me.
[ That sort of offer she can make, though. ]
I'll take good care of Cali. [ Probably better than like, of herself. ]

He's got much fresher trauma to deal with.]
Really? That sounds fun, but... I'm definitely not as good as a super gamer.
He'll take good care of you, too.
[as a bonus, he's a giant fire horse and it's the middle of December.]

...and even if not, isn't it fun to play games with friends? I...think that's something that's true.
[ She's played a few games with friends, by this point. Tsumiki played with her. ]

Yeah, you're definitely right.
[You just said you were a super something level gamer is all.]
I'd love to play games with you sometime, Miss Nanami! We'll have plenty of time when we're in Violet City.

It'll only take me a couple hours to get to Violet City, so just message me when you get there and I'll head over to meet you, okay?
she should be there on friday the 13th, lol
[ Her list of people to call once she's in Violet is growing steadily. ]
...Thank you for all of this.
then he'll be there a few hours later!
[He beams at her. It's easy to see why he's a kid worth losing a finger for.]
I came here in the winter, too, so I know it's hard to set out without a fire-type.

Ah...Shaun-kun. One of the people I know...offered to take us from Violet to Goldenrod, to have Christmas in that place.
...Would you want to do that?
