first game; VIDEO. action for new bark i guess but who is even in new bark right now?
[ It takes her no time at all to figure out how to work the gear. Nanami is good with electronics, especially the handheld sort that hold games on them (and she did look at the games that came preloaded first off, and then wasted some of her starter cash on one or two of the others...) so it was easy.
...Except that after she finished playing around with that, Nanami spent several days trying to play the game. As in "Pokémon". She eventually gives this up, but it admittedly takes a while. After turning on the video function, she pauses. Takes a moment to collect her thoughts. This is accomplished by staring off into space before refocusing. ]
...Hello. My name is Nanami Chiaki. I’m a Super High-school Level Gamer. ...I'm pretty good with all genres.
[ That's the unimportant stuff. Moving on to the stuff that actually matters: ]
...Although this is certainly "Pokémon", it's a sequel or something, right? New locations, new creatures...even so, there are so many differences compared to that game, aren't there? Almost too many...
[ She puffs out her cheeks, a silent pout, before continuing past her pause. ]
...I started out with a partner already, without having to visit the Professor. There was no point where I was supposed to choose my partner...or my gender, or name, although I don't mind that. ...While I like Munna, that's a little weird, isn't it? And even if the plot is different in this game, which is normal...
I haven't been able to trigger any quests so far, you know? Or tutorials. ...Maybe that ferry to Kanto would be the right choice, but couldn't that be a case of skipping ahead to the boss area without being properly leveled? That I haven't even had a rival encounter, isn't that worrying?
[ Nanami falls silent for a second before her main concern comes out, said more quietly than the rest, though she hadn't been speaking loudly to start with. ]
...It's not working properly.
[ That's...that's apparently all she wanted to bring up...? Trapped in the world of Pokémon, her main concern is apparently that the game is wrong. Where are the quests she knows she ought to be having, or the characters she ought to be meeting? Perhaps it's best to leave her to it...Ah, no, wait. It appears she has a bit more to say. ]
...If there's a new sequence to trigger the main quest, I'd like to know that, please. I'll keep trying to find it in the meantime. ...Ah, it's hard to trigger secret codes if you're in the game itself, isn't it...? At least, the normal codes are a no-go. I'll have to think of something else.
[ ...never mind, this is absolutely the time to leave her to her thoughts. Nanami ends the video after another pause, undoubtedly going off to try to "start" her game once again. ]

[ .............. ]
...I'm looking forward to it.
[ Her first battle better be soon, man. Look out, random NPCs. ]
[Hit Falkner hard, man.]
[ Gather ALL the electric types, basically. ]
...Thank you for the advice...
...
I didn't catch your name.
[Oops. It's pretty easy to get into conversations without any introductions.]
I'm Atsuro Kihara. It's nice to meet you, Chiaki.
[Aw yeah, casual is the way to go.]
It's nice to meet you, too, Atsuro. I've...also forgotten to introduce myself sometimes, when talking about games...
I know what you mean. I usually get carried away when I'm talking about things I love, like games or programming.
[There are other topics, but those are near the top of the list.]
[ Can she be your new best friend? ]
[Oh man, a potential programming buddy...!?]
[ She's never done anything with it. ]
Gaming is my talent.
[Just a warning. Still, talking about games can make up for it.]
But it sounds like it, since you said you're the Super High School Level Gamer earlier. Is that an official title from your world?
[ Games are always the best thing to talk about. ]
Yes. A "Super High School Level" person is someone scouted by a special school for being a rising star in their field...the shining stars of hope.
[He's still relatively new in the business, so Atsuro doesn't have a lot of commissions at the moment.
or any]Whoa...that sounds pretty awesome. [Yep, definitely like something from a manga.] There's nothing like that back home, as far as I know. That means...you're pretty much the top gamer out of everyone where you're from?
[ LET'S IGNORE EVERYTHING ELSE YOU JUST SAID TO FOCUS ON WHAT'S IMPORTANT, HERE. ]
If you need someone to test them ever...I'd absolutely be up for that!
[WELL HOW CAN HE DECLINE HER ENTHUSIASM?
...Plus, his go-to beta tester isn't around so.]
If you're still sure, I'll definitely contact you to find all of the bugs and glitches I didn't notice! And checking the game's balance, of course!
[As the game maker, he'd need someone not involved in the game design for a fresh opinion. He'd know what to expect, so his personal play test isn't enough.]
[ She likes all the games. Even bad games. She will play anything you send her. ]
[Hm, maybe he could consider using APP-LOW?]
I'll do my best, Atsuro!
