first game; VIDEO. action for new bark i guess but who is even in new bark right now?
[ It takes her no time at all to figure out how to work the gear. Nanami is good with electronics, especially the handheld sort that hold games on them (and she did look at the games that came preloaded first off, and then wasted some of her starter cash on one or two of the others...) so it was easy.
...Except that after she finished playing around with that, Nanami spent several days trying to play the game. As in "Pokémon". She eventually gives this up, but it admittedly takes a while. After turning on the video function, she pauses. Takes a moment to collect her thoughts. This is accomplished by staring off into space before refocusing. ]
...Hello. My name is Nanami Chiaki. I’m a Super High-school Level Gamer. ...I'm pretty good with all genres.
[ That's the unimportant stuff. Moving on to the stuff that actually matters: ]
...Although this is certainly "Pokémon", it's a sequel or something, right? New locations, new creatures...even so, there are so many differences compared to that game, aren't there? Almost too many...
[ She puffs out her cheeks, a silent pout, before continuing past her pause. ]
...I started out with a partner already, without having to visit the Professor. There was no point where I was supposed to choose my partner...or my gender, or name, although I don't mind that. ...While I like Munna, that's a little weird, isn't it? And even if the plot is different in this game, which is normal...
I haven't been able to trigger any quests so far, you know? Or tutorials. ...Maybe that ferry to Kanto would be the right choice, but couldn't that be a case of skipping ahead to the boss area without being properly leveled? That I haven't even had a rival encounter, isn't that worrying?
[ Nanami falls silent for a second before her main concern comes out, said more quietly than the rest, though she hadn't been speaking loudly to start with. ]
...It's not working properly.
[ That's...that's apparently all she wanted to bring up...? Trapped in the world of Pokémon, her main concern is apparently that the game is wrong. Where are the quests she knows she ought to be having, or the characters she ought to be meeting? Perhaps it's best to leave her to it...Ah, no, wait. It appears she has a bit more to say. ]
...If there's a new sequence to trigger the main quest, I'd like to know that, please. I'll keep trying to find it in the meantime. ...Ah, it's hard to trigger secret codes if you're in the game itself, isn't it...? At least, the normal codes are a no-go. I'll have to think of something else.
[ ...never mind, this is absolutely the time to leave her to her thoughts. Nanami ends the video after another pause, undoubtedly going off to try to "start" her game once again. ]

Good lord, it's like the kind of thing she likes to pull on people— ]
Do you know the names and identities of the people who told you to look after your friends?
PRIVATE
...Yes.
PRIVATE
......]
Is there a reason you're avoiding telling me their names?
PRIVATE
...Naegi Makoto, Kirigiri Kyouko, Togami Byakuya, Hagakure Yasuhiro, Asahina Aoi, Fukawa Touko, and Alter Ego.
[ There's definitely a reason, but she can't justify lying, here. ]
...I'm sorry I failed you.

[ ...really hard. ]
PRIVATE
Was Alter Ego-san...able to survive, somehow?
PRIVATE
[ No "-san" here. ]
PRIVATE
I'm glad. I owe a great deal to him.
You mentioned Hagakure-kun. There are others here as well — some of the survivors, and some who aren't.
PRIVATE
[ Probably more than you, in a way. ]
Hagakure-senpai gave me the list. ...I'm only obligated to tell the Future Foundation things, though. ...Probably I'd also answer to one other person.
...That is, what is it you'd like me to do with what I know, Kirigiri-senpai, in regards to those who aren't part of the Foundation?
[ i.e. all these dead people.
Well, she didn't spill to Hagakure, either. ]
PRIVATE
[...Okay, so if she's telling Kirigiri things, then it follows that she must be part of this foundation, and if she is, then it stands to reason that the other survivors probably are, too, which means that those who aren't are probably the dead people, which means she's being asked what Nanami ought to tell about half her classmates.
...Plus one other person?]
Tell me who the one other person is, and then I'll answer you.
PRIVATE
[ He's not a member, but he gets a free pass. ]
PRIVATE
...Well, something.]
He was here once. It's possible he might return.
...If you continue to call yourself the Super High School Level Gamer, people are eventually going to ask you the same questions I did. For now, tell them that you don't want to talk about what happened; we'll figure out how to explain it to them ourselves, and afterward that restriction might be lifted.
PRIVATE
[ That would be amazing, really. ]
All right. I'll tell the non-members I don't want to talk about it. ...Do you have any specific instructions on where I should go, or shall I play the game?
[ i.e. collect badges.
Nanami, she probably has more questions for you, anyway. ]
PRIVATE
You mean "advice", don't you?
PRIVATE
[ .................should she just sit here and play games. :|a ]
...I've never acted outside of the Foundation's orders before.
[ ...Maybe she should ask one of the other Foundation members? No, Kirigiri's the one talking to her. ]
PRIVATE
You're supposed to follow my orders?
[...the shit is this Foundation, anyway?]
PRIVATE
It's not a matter of "supposed to". Not doing so, wouldn't that be like a person trying to fly?
PRIVATE
...Are you saying you can't disobey me?
